What Is the Apex Hotels Scholarship?

Apex Hotels and ¹û¶³´«Ã½ have partnered to offer financial and career enhancing support to students studying BA (Hons) International Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management.

Each year, a share of a £15,000 Scholarship is awarded to selected students to help ease financial pressures and support academic success.

Who can apply?

This opportunity is open exclusively to 3rd year ¹û¶³´«Ã½ students on the BA (Hons) International Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management programme (studying in-person at our Musselburgh campus). Students should meet at least two of the following criteria:

•    experiencing financial need 
•    have an academic performance of 2:2 or above 
•    motivated to pursue a career in hospitality.
And most importantly, all applicants should be ready to build a relationship with a leading employer in the sector—Apex Hotels LTD

What You Can Expect as an Apex Scholar

•    Financial support of £3,000 over two years* (£1,500 per year)

What’s Expected of You as an Apex Scholar

Being an Apex Scholar is about more than receiving financial support — it’s about embracing a unique opportunity to grow, connect, and stand out.
As a scholar, you will:

•    Engage fully with the programme and make the most of every opportunity offered by Apex Hotels.

•    Build a strong relationship with Apex Hotels — get to know the people, the culture, and the career paths available.

•    Take initiative in exploring paid opportunities, networking events, and exclusive opportunities.

•    Share your journey by writing at least two blog or LinkedIn posts each academic year.

•    Attend at least two Apex Scholars events each academic year

This is your chance to connect with industry leaders, gain real-world insight, and position yourself for future success in hospitality.

Application process

•    Stage 1 – Short written application
•    Stage 2 – In-person interview with Apex Hotels in attendance (to shortlisted students only)

Key Dates & Timeline

•    Stage 1 Applications open: Monday 21st September 2026

•    Applications close: Midday, Friday 23rd October 2026

•    Shortlisting: From Tuesday 27th October 2026  

•    Stage 2 successful applicants following shortlist notified of interview: Friday 6th November 2026

•    Interviews: Wednesday 11th November (afternoon)

• All applicants must be available to interview, in person at our Musselburgh campus on this date
• Interviews will be 15-20 minutes, with the panel consisting of ¹û¶³´«Ã½ academic staff and a representative from Apex Hotels. 

•    Stage 3 Scholarships awarded: Successful students should be notified by Friday 21st November 2025
